Nashville, TN (Monday, January 3, 2022) – The ARCA Menards Series East returns to Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on Saturday, May 7, 2022 for the 10th ARCA race at the historic Fairgrounds Nashville. Six ARCA Menards Series races have been conducted at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (NFS) and three ARCA Menards Series East races, two under the NASCAR K&N Pro Series banner and last year’s race under the ARCA Menards Series East name.

 

Sammy Smith, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, drove to victory lane in the 2021 Music City 200. Smith, the 17-year-old racer from Johnston, Iowa led 103 of 200 laps. Mason Diaz, who finished second in the race, led 41 laps, while hometown racer, Mason Mingus held the lead for 56 circuits. Daniel Dye, a young Super Late Model racer from Florida, who has competed in the past two All American 400s, finished 8th in the race. Winner of the 2021 North/South Super Late Model Challenge at NFS, Carson Kvapil finished 11th in last year’s Music City 200 ARCA race.

 

In addition to Sammy Smith, previous Music City 200 race winners include Christian Eckes, Zane Smith, Chad Finley, Josh Williams, Grant Enfinger, Matt Kobyluck, Rogelio Lopez, and David Green.

 

This year’s ARCA Menards Series East Music City 200 will be streamed live on FloRacing TV and will later air on USA Network television.

 

Also on track with ARCA on Saturday, May 7th is the North/South Super Late Model Challenge 100 co-sanctioned by the ARCA/CRA Super Series and Southern Super Series. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Pro Late Models will also be in competition for a 100 lap feature event.
