Nashville, TN (Friday, November 25, 2022) – The ARCA Menards Series East returns to Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on Saturday, May 13, 2023 for this traditional event at the historic five-eighths mile oval in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The Music City 200 is race number 3 of 8 on the 2023 ARCA Menards Series East calendar. The season begins with a Track Enterprises’ event at Five Flags Speedway on Saturday, March 25th and then the tour travels to Dover Delaware on April 28th before landing in middle Tennessee on the second Saturday in May. Flat Rock (MI), Iowa, Indianapolis (IN), Milwaukee (WI), and Bristol (TN) makeup the balance of the ARCA East schedule.
In May of 2022, Sammy Smith collected a Nashville guitar by winning the Music City 200 in route to the ARCA Menards Series East Championship. Smith, driving the number 18 TMC Toyota for Kyle Busch Motorsports, started from the outside of the front row and trailed behind Jake Finch for the first 44 circuits. On lap 45, Smith took the down the front straight and never looked back, leading the remaining 155 laps. Jake Finch finished second, Taylor Gray third, hometown racer Mason Mingus finished fourth and Leland Honeyman completed the top five.
Past Music City 200 race winners include Christian Ekes, Zane Smith, Chad Finley, Josh Williams, and Grant Enfinger.
