Nashville, TN (Friday, October 22, 2021) – Earlier this week, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway was saddened to hear of the passing of one of Middle Tennessee’s biggest racing ambassadors, Kevin Cordell. Kevin Cordell’s contributions to auto racing were influential in the continued success of Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. On Friday, October 29th, as part of the US Tank All American 400 in Memory of Jillian Brown weekend, the BH Holmes Construction Legends will hold their final event of the 2021 season, with extra money on the line through a majority of the field in memory of Cordell.

In addition to the race on the track Friday night, Cordell’s son Oliver is locked in a three way battle for the Track Championship. Boston Oliver currently leads the Championship Points Standings by one point over Oliver Cordell, and three points over Michael Crafton.

A total of $1,700 in additional money has been brought in for Friday’s event, starting with a $200 Fast Qualifier Award courtesy of Bill Faulkner, and DeWayne and Julie Wright. Then, a special bonus during the main event Friday night, Ann Williams and USA Motor & Machine have kicked in a $100 bonus for the driver running 17th on lap 17 of the race; 17 is the number currently run by Oliver Cordell at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

The 10th place finisher will receive a $200 bonus, and then fourth and fifth place will also receive a $100 bonus, all thanks to Ann Williams and USA Motor & Machine. Bill Faulkner kicked the second place prize money up by $200 and third place by $100. The winner of Friday nights race will now take home $1,000 after a $500 bonus from Limited Late Model Track Champion, Johnathan Dishman and a bonus from Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
