Travis Braden Clocks an Average Speed of 116.13 MPH to Lead the way in Open Practice

Nashville, TN (Friday, July 17, 2020) – Forty cars took to the 5/8th mile high banked oval at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway today. Music City USA host the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Masters of the Pros Presented by Day Racing Products.  The temperature today for Nashville, a hot summer afternoon at The Fairgrounds Nashville.

 

Stephen Nasse (Florida) led the first round of practice with a lap of 19.533 secs., setting the standard for the afternoon. Cole Williams and Josh Brock claimed second and third in the first round. Jackson Boone, the defending Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Pro Late Model champion led the second round of practice with a quick lap of 19.376 secs., with Dylan Fetcho and Jake Garcia rounding out the top three.

 

Travis Braden posted the quick time for the third round of practice, followed by Cole Williams and Jake Garcia. Braden a two time ARCA/CRA Super Series champion. The 2019 Snowball Derby champion and former winner of the Winchester 400 took the final session of the day for the Masters of the Pros Presented by Day Racing Products. Braden’s lap time of 19.375 seconds set the time to beat heading into the 4pm qualifying session, Saturday.

 

Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway management announced an earlier time for pit gates opening on Saturday, 10pm. Practice for JEGS/CRA All-Star Tour cars rolls off at 1:30pm for one hour of practice.  Grandstand gates open at 3pm with qualifying for Legends, Front Runner, Pure Stock and Limited Late Model.

 

Pre-race ceremony kicks off at 5pm with the presentation of the 2019 Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway championship class.  The green flag waves at 5:30pm.
