Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Announces Recent Tire Testing Results with Forensic Lab
Nashville, TN (Wednesday, July 27, 2022) – As the checkered flag fell on the Limited Late Model feature July 7th, Dwayne Hudson crossed the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway finish line in second place. Former Track Champions Kevin Rollins and Johnathan Dishman crossed the line third and fourth. The Limited Late Model race was a 25-lap feature event to cap the Thursday Night quarter mile special, opening the weekend for the Camping World SRX Series.
Young Dylan Jones, making his Limited Late Model debut, took the checkered flag first but was disqualified for a tire procedure infraction.
Tire samples were taken during the post-race inspection process from Jones, Hudson, and Rollins. Those tire samples submitted for forensic laboratory tests were found to conform to the Hoosier submitted benchmark by the forensic lab. The lab used by Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway for testing is the same lab used by the top racing organizations in the country.
With the completed tests, Dwayne Hudson has been declared the official winner of the July 7th event. Kevin Rollins moves into second place and championship rival Johnathan Dishman into third place.
Though tires from Dylan Jones’ car met the laboratory benchmark, those tires were not in compliance with the tire procedures. Violation of Limited Late Model Take-Off Tire Procedures, Section 1, has resulted in a disqualification.
