Nashville, TN (Thursday, May 28, 2020) – The local racing event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (NFS) scheduled for Saturday, June 6th has been suspended in accordance with the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and The Fairgrounds Nashville, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The June 6th event falls within phase two of the Road Map to Reopening Nashville and those conditions of phase 2 are not suitable to hold an outdoor auto racing event in the City of Nashville. This marks the fifth racing event suspended at the historic fairgrounds race track since the outbreak began earlier in 2020.

Saturday, June 6th was slated to showcase local racing at NFS. Officials are working on reschedule dates. Even with the delayed start to race season, NFS officials aim to race all six local exclusive shows within the 2020 calendar year. More information will be made available soon.

The next event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is scheduled for Saturday, June 20th with a practice day on Friday, June 19th. The event features Pro Late Models, Super Trucks, Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Front Runners, Legends and Bandoleros.
