Nashville, TN (Friday, April 29, 2022) – The anticipation continues to build for the next event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on Saturday, May 7th. The tri-headline event features 200 laps for the ARCA Menards Series East for the Music City 200, 100 laps for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Models, and 100 laps for the North/South Super Late Model Challenge which puts the Southern Super Series up against the ARCA/CRA Super Series.

Sammy Smith, who dominated the 2021 Music City 200 leading nearly every lap on his way to victory, is again showing strength in the ARCA Menards Series East. Smith has won the first two races of the young 2022 season; grabbing the season opener at New Smyrna Speedway back in February, before winning race number two at Pensacola, Florida’s 5 Flags Speedway.

The Pro Late Models, a regular division at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, will be sanctioned by the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, bringing some of their regular drivers head-to-head with Nashville’s best. Cole Williams and Hunter Wright were the first two winners of the season in the Pro Late Model division in Nashville. Meanwhile, former All American 400 Champion, Casey Roderick won the season opener for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Sunday at Salem Speedway.

Drivers with the Southern Super Series will be nearly halfway through their 2022 campaign when they unload at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Winners so far this season include Bubba Pollard, Ty Majeski, Stephen Nasse, and Derek Thorn. Meanwhile, the ARCA/CRA Super Series has just two events under their belt coming into the May 7th event. Eddie Van Meter picked up the first win of the season at Anderson Speedway before Roderick completed the clean sweep at Salem Speedway on Sunday.

Special drivers will also be in attendance this weekend including NASCAR Super Star William Byron. Byron has made a few select starts this season with Donnie Wilson Motorsports, and will make another one in Nashville. Byron has a top 10 finish in the All American 400 to his credit, but will look for his first win in the Music City.
