Nashville, TN (Friday, April 16th, 2021) – It’s finally opening weekend at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and a double-header weekend is greeting fans for the return to racing in Music City. This weekend features two days of racing between the Starkey US Legends Major beginning Friday and the 64th Season of Asphalt Racing Season Opener on Saturday. Below are some answer to the frequently asked questions we’ve received this week.
Friday Night (4/16):

COVID-19 Policy 😷:
A face covering is not required while outdoors in public spaces. Maintaining a physical distance of six feet from person(s) who are not members of the same household or residence is strongly recommended; if that is not feasible, the wearing of a Face Covering is strongly recommended. Coolers 🥤🧊:
Coolers will be allowed in the Grandstands, maximum 14×14. No glass containers or Alcohol will be permitted.
Alcoholic Drinks 🍻:
Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase from the concessions stand.
🚧Construction🚧:
Friday, April 16 at 8 p.m. through Monday, April 19 at 5 a.m., TDOT contract crews will close I-65 South at the Wedgewood Avenue bridge. I-65 southbound traffic will be routed on I-40/I-24 (downtown interstate loop) to I-440. The I-40 eastbound on-ramp from Demonbreun Street will be closed. One lane on I-65 northbound will be closed on the bridge from Friday night through Saturday morning. Wedgewood Avenue under the I-65 bridge will be closed. Eastbound traffic on Wedgewood will be able to access the I-65 southbound on-ramp. Westbound traffic on Wedgewood will be able to access the I-65 northbound on-ramp.
