Special from Rackley WAR – Centerville, TN (Sep. 10, 2021) – Rackley W.A.R.’s Willie Allen announced this afternoon from team headquarters that Huntington Beach, California’s Jake Bollman will be the latest Pro Late Model driver added to the team’s driver development program.

The team and driver have inked a one-race deal for Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway’s next Pro Late Model events on Friday and Saturday, Sep. 17 & 18 for a double-header, with future race dates to be determined.

Bollman, 14, who cut his teeth in go-karts and in the Lucas Oil Offroad Racing Series, has been a standout in the U.S. Legends Cars for the past two years, capturing the 2019 USLC Young Lions California state championship, and finishing 9th in the nation. He also competed in the 51FIFTY Jr. Late Models for Naake-Klauer Motorsports at Madera Speedway, finishing 4th in points that same year.

He has since graduated to the USLC Pro Division, in addition to running the 2021 inaugural season of the SRL Southwest Pro Late Model Series, where he considers Irwindale Speedway his home track.

The 9th grader says while he’s never raced on the high banks in Music City, he feels like he’s up for the challenge.

“I haven’t raced at Nashville before, except on iRacing. It’s a really big track compared to what we’re used to running, but I’m definitely looking forward to it. Rackley W.A.R. has the experience of running a [NASCAR] truck team, and that undoubtedly takes a lot of time and effort. I feel the data they have taken from the truck team and the late models, really benefits the driver at the track. I’m excited and ready for it.”

Bollman is still searching for his first Pro Late Model win, currently sitting 6th among all SRL pro drivers, and 4th in the SRL Young Guns division for national points. He has had 1 top-3, 2 top-5s and 4 top-10s in the sanctioning body’s inaugural PLM season.

Allen said Bollman is a wheelman and he’s confident in his ability.

“Jake is a good driver. He’s 14 years old, but carries the maturity of a driver quite a bit more experienced. It’s been fun watching him grow over the past couple of years, and while we haven’t worked that closely yet one on one, we are really looking forward to getting him in the race car this next race weekend and seeing where that takes us.”

Bollman said he’s focused on his career path and added that, “I want to at least get in the [NASCAR] truck series, and then focus on making it to Cup.”
