Tech Bulletin: Mufflers
Nashville, TN (Friday, March 5, 2021) – Officials with Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway have issued a technical bulletin for
Pro Late Models, Super Trucks, Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Front Runners competing at
Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (NFS) in 2021. The muffler requirement and 99db maximum standard applies to all
Local Racing and National Events. This includes, ARCA Menards Series East Music City 200, SRX Racing Championship,
King of the Wings Sprint Cars and All American 400 Race Weekend.

MUFFLER RULE
A muffler must be used and installed in a configuration that will suppress exhaust noise to a maximum of 99db’s at 100
feet. The track will conduct random testing of exhaust noise, a penalty of 10lb’s for every point above 99db’s will be
enforced. Any car that is consistently tested above 99db’s will receive additional penalties up to and including
disqualification.

NOTICE
Compliant mufflers are required at all times at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway including race events, open practice
days, and private test sessions. Race Teams not in compliance of the 99db’s maximum during a private test session are
subject to fines and/or suspension of the test session.
