Special from Speed51.com – Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is set to return to action this Saturday, September 12 after Mayor John Cooper directed track officials to cancel their most recently-scheduled event on August 29.  That event was to feature the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour with the Heroes 100, originally scheduled to take place at Birch Run Speedway.

This weekend’s event will take place in honor of Hal Musler, a long-time competitor at Nashville who passed away August 24.  All local divisions will be in action Saturday, headlined by the Pro Late Models on the 5/8-mile.  The Super Trucks will also take to the big track, while Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Front Runners, Legends and Bandoleros will compete on the quarter-mile.

Fans will be allowed at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in a limited capacity.  Masks will be required by local law for everyone in attendance, and will be provided at the gate if needed.  Click here to read COVID-19 fan information in full.

This will be the first event held at Nashville in just over a month, with the most recent race having taken place on August 8.  Willie Allen took the checkered flag in the Pro Late Model main event over Dylan Fetcho.  Matt Craig and Cole Williams have also won Pro Late Model races at Nashville in 2020.

Last year’s runner-up Dylan Fetcho holds a slim two-point lead over two-time track champion Cole Williams in the Pro Late Model points standings.  2018 track champion Michael House sits just eight points back, while Davey Coble, Austin Brawley, Bennie Hamlett, Daniel Bolden, Hunter Wright and Chase Johnson all sit within 40 points of the lead.

Other points leaders at Nashville include Tanner Arms (Super Trucks), Jeffrey Belt (Limited Late Models), Larry Cunningham (Street Stocks), Phillip McCord (Pure Stocks), Daniel Harper (Front Runners), Bryson Shaffer (Legends), and Austin Harrison (Bandoleros).
