Nashville, TN (Saturday, February 1, 2020) – The 63rd season of asphalt racing at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway welcomes back the Baby Grand and their ‘USA Central Division Pro Grand National Series’ for two events. Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (NFS), throughout the long history of competition, has seen the Baby Grand racing division on the quarter mile and five eighths mile track.

 

The 2020 season – to consist of two events on the quarter mile track, held on Saturday, May 16th and Saturday, October 3rd. May 16th is a special day for the series, as they are scheduled to run two features, in one night, at two different race tracks. The first main event will be early Saturday evening at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and the second main event, late Saturday evening, 25 miles north, at Highland Rim Speedway.

 

The Baby Grand division is one of the safest miniature motorsports cars on the track. The weight of the 2/3rds scale car is 1,500 pounds, with a Yamaha 1,250cc motor.

 

 

Ronnie Binkley, longtime competitor and champion says, “the Baby Grand car will be the fastest car on the 1/4 mile.”

 

Track Enterprises and D&D Events have teamed-up to promote nine high-quality racing programs at NFS that incorporates three national events and six local exclusive shows in 2020. There is a pre-season practice and media day scheduled for Saturday, April 11th. Opening night is Saturday, April 18th and the first national event is the weekend of May 1st, 2nd and 3rd featuring the ARCA Menards East Series, USAC Silver Crown Series, North/South Super Late Model Challenge and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour.
