Nashville, TN (Friday, June 11, 2021) – Another Friday night practice session is in the book ahead of Saturday nights Modifieds of Mayhem 50 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. The final tune-up before drivers and crews attempt to find their way to the Music City Winner Circle, setting fast time is a confidence booster heading into Saturday. 

 

The Modifieds of Mayhem checked in nearly 20 cars for practice alone on Friday. At the end of their sessions, former Late Model driver, Johnny Brazier set atop the pilon with a best time of 19.983. He out paced Parker Pugh’s 20.026, which was tied with Tour regular Bill Burba. Cody Strickler turned in a 20.082 and Ricky Moxley rounded out the top five with a 20.115.

 

The Big Machine Vodka Spiked Coolers Super Trucks also prepared for race day Friday night. 2019 Track Champion, John Burns set fast time on the night with a 20.480. Tanner Arms truck appears to be put back together well following his May 29th crash, as he was second fastest at a 20.809. Last event’s feature winner, Frank Bauer was third fastest with a 20.967.

 

Limited Late Models returned to practice and Jonathan Dishman picked up where he left off on May 29th, setting fast time for the day at 15.720 around the quarter-mile. Jeremy Burns was second fastest at 16/043 and Jim Jordan was third on the charts with a 16.099.

 

Other fast times on the quarter-mile included Carl Porter, Jr at 16.199 in Street Stocks, two-time feature winner, John Bradley at a 16.999 in Pure Stocks, and Tony Gann 17.321 for Pest Doctor Front Runners. Another full field of BH Holmes Construction Legends were on hand for the Friday night practice session, with 19 cars taking time. In the end, Boston Oliver was on top with a 15.913 ahead of Austin Farr at 15.925 and Bryson Shaffer with a 15.935. The Dye Hard Hair Salon Bandoleros also had strong numbers, pulling six drivers. Aidan Potter was on top of the field at the end of the night, posting a 17.464. He was faster than Gavon Veach and Hunter Taylor.
