Five Flags Speedway to Host ASA STARS National Tour on March 11

An incredibly strong field of competitors look for a shot at motorsports history with the ASA STARS National Tour debut at 5 Flags Speedway on Saturday, March 11th. It’s all part of a doubleheader weekend of racing to open the 2023 season.

Some past Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway champions will be a part of an incredibly stout field of wheelmen coming to 5 Flags Speedway. This includes 2019 Pro Late Model track champion Jackson Boone, 2020 All American 400 and 2017 Pro Late Model track champion Casey Roderick, 2016 All American 400 winner Bubba Pollard, 2021 All American 400 winner Matt Craig, and last years All American 400 winner Stephen Nasse.

Boone, who is one of the top competitors at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, had two Pro Late Model wins at “America’s Favorite Short Track” during the 2022 season and finished 8th in the track standings. Boone also had a strong season in the Southern Super Series where he racked up 3 top 5’s and 5 top 10’s while finishing 7th in points on the year. Boone also has two starts in the All American 400 racking up a top 5. Boone will be on the lookout for a strong finish in his ASA STARS National Tour debut and bring some of his Nashville success to the Sunshine State 200.

Another top Nashville competitor making his way down to the land of palm trees and sunshine is 2017 Pro Late Model track champion and 2020 All American 400 winner, Casey Roderick. Roderick is a two-time Southern Super Series champion winning back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019. Roderick also had an impressive 6 nights at the World Series of Asphalt at New Smyrna Speedway, taking home 2 wins, 5 top 5’s, and 6 top 10’s and becoming the 2023 World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing champion. Roderick will be looking to build off his success at New Smyrna and etch his name into motorsports history by becoming the first winner of the newly formed ASA STARS National Tour.

Former All American 400 champion and one of the most successful short track drivers of all time, Bubba Pollard, looks to build on his recent win at SpeedFest 2023 and add another win to his season. He will be one of the top names with big aspirations for the 2023 ASA STARS National Tour season and he will get it kicked off at 5 Flags Speedway for the Sunshine State 200.

Rising star and 2021 All American 400 winner Matt Craig will compete for his shot at winning against one of the strongest fields he will see this year. Craig is a 2-time CARS Super Late Model Tour champion winning back-to-back titles in 2019 and 2020. Craig also finished top 5 in points in the Southern Super Series for the 2022 season.

2022 All American 400 winner and another prolific short track wheelman, Stephen Nasse, heads to the Sunshine State 200 to build on what was a fantastic 2022 season, racking up two crown jewel wins with the Winchester 400 and All American 400. Nasse has had a bit of a slow start to his 2023 season with a 20th-place finish at SpeedFest and a DNF due to mechanical issues while leading the Clyde Hart Memorial at New Smyrna Speedway. 5 Flags could be his turning point at a track where he has some great finishes and plenty of experience.
