Nashville, TN (Friday, January 21, 2022) – It was 1904 when the first auto racing event was held at the historic Fairgrounds Nashville. One Hundred Eighteen years later, Track Enterprises readies to launch the 2022 racing season on Saturday, April 2nd at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (NFS).

The season opening event will feature a 118 lap Pro Late Model race, celebrating the storied history of well over a century of auto racing in Nashville, Tennessee. Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Pest Doctor Front Runners, BH Holmes Construction Legends Cars, and Dye Hard Hair Salon Bandoleros will also be on track. Racing will begin at 5:00pm with a special pre-race ceremony at 4:30, recognizing last year’s track champions.

Just two weeks later, racing returns to the Fairgrounds. For the second year, US Legends Cars International brings the best Legends and Bandolero racers from around the county for a multi-day event in Music City. On Friday, April 15th, Legends and Bandoleros will be in competition on the quarter mile track. Then, on Saturday, April 16th, racing action takes place on both the quarter mile and the five eighths mile. Legends and Bandoleros will have their championship race of the event while the Big Machine Vodka Spiked Coolers Super Trucks open their season on the big track along with a 100 lap Pro Late Model feature event.

The ARCA Menards Series East returns to Nashville for the traditional running of the Music City 200. Joining the ARCA Menards Series East is the ARCA/CRA Super Series and Southern Super Series for the North-South Super Late Model Challenge 100. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Pro Late Models will also have a 100 lap feature event setting up 400 laps of competition of stock car racing at the highest of short-track levels.

The first Saturday of June features a brand-new event – the Music City Triple 50s. Three 50 lap feature races are set to take place on the five-eighths mile. The Pro Late Models, Big Machine Vodka Spiked Coolers Super Trucks, and Modifieds of Mayhem Tour will all each run a 50 lap feature. The full slate of quarter mile racers also returns for a huge night of racing on June 4th.

The 10th Running of the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Rackley Roofing Masters of the Pros 150 will be held on Saturday, July 9th. The 150 lap Pro Late Model race will again be a points race for both the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Pro Late Models. Willie Allen won the race a year ago, and Matt Craig won the first Masters race held at NFS in July of 2020. The Rackley Roofing Masters of the Pros 150 is one of the highest paying Pro Late Model races in the county and has drawn upwards of 45 entries in recent years.

All six of Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway quarter mile divisions will have a special Friday night program on July 8th.  More information about the July 8th and 9th event will be announced in the coming days.

August 13th is Back to School Family Night at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Racing action includes a special appearance from the Outlaw Late Model cars, normally found competing at speedways in Montgomery, Pensacola, and Cordele. The Nashville Pro Late Models will have a 100 lap feature race, with all six quarter mile divisions in competition as well.

The Nashville Fair is set for September of 2022 and auto racing will be held on the traditional second Saturday of the Fair. On Saturday, September 17th fans will be treated to two 50 lap Pro Late Model feature races. Two complete feature races will be conducted with each counting towards championship points. Super Trucks, Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Front Runners, Legends, and Bandoleros are also set for ‘the fair race’.

Saturday, October 8th serves as a tune up for the All American 400 coming up later in October. Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Pest Doctor Front Runners, BH Holmes Constructions Legends Cars, and Dye Hard Hair Salon Bandoleros will also be in action.

The season concludes with one of the country’s crown jewel races, the 38th Running of the US Tank All American 400. The prestigious weekend begins on Friday night, October 28th with Championship Friday, as all six classes compete for their season titles on the quarter mile. October 29th is All American Saturday featuring the VanHoy Oil CRA Street Stock Series, Vores Compact Touring Series, JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Showdown, All American 400 Pole Qualifying, and the Super Late Model All American Showdown. All three JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour races at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway count towards the NFS Pro Late Model championship point standings.
