$10,000 to Win Pro Late Model Race Set for Saturday, July 17th

Nashville, TN (Wednesday, December 23, 2020) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Masters of the Pros 150 is one of the premier pavement late model races in the country and the ninth edition of the event will be held at America’s Favorite Short Track – Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, again in 2021. The top pro late model drivers in America descend upon the historic Fairgrounds Nashville on Saturday night, July 17th for 150 laps of green flag racing around the five-eighths mile famed oval.

Last season, Matt Craig of Kannapolis, North Carolina, now, the 2020 CARS Super Late Model Tour Champion, won the event, outlasting a pair of Georgia natives: 2018 and ‘19 event winner Bubba Pollard, and Jake Garcia. Over 40 drivers had entered last year’s race at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Cole Williams was the highest finishing Fairgrounds regular, placing eighth of 32 starters.  Former Snowball Derby winner, Travis Braden and past JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champions, Josh Brock and Cody Coughlin, were among the front runners of the race that produced seven different leaders.

The Masters of the Pros event has been held at four different venues: Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Missouri, Birch Run Speedway in Michigan, Memphis International Raceway in Tennessee, and it’s current home at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Besides Craig and Pollard, four other drivers have won the iconic Green Jacket, awarded to the race winner. Defending Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Chase Elliott won the inaugural Masters of the Pros in 2013. Anderson Bowen won the race in 2014, John Hunter Nemechek drove to victory lane in 2015 and 2016, while Cole Williams went on to win in 2017.

2021 race details are still being finalized. Last year’s race was 150 green flag laps, utilizing controlled caution pit stop procedures. The race paid over $10,000 with additional bonuses and contingency awards. More details about the prestigious event will be announced in the near future.
