Nashville, TN (Monday, February 3, 2020) – Officials at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (NFS) confirmed today, the Street Modified division will return to the speedway lineup for the 2020 season. The Street Modified class was one of the action-packed fan favorites during the past season.

The popularity and input from competitors, deemed the response to add the division to the NFS seven race schedule. The quarter mile season starts on April 18, 2020, for the 33rd year of the current configuration at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway – created during the pit road construction, prior to the 1988 season.

The Street Modified will compete on the following dates during the 2020 season:

* April 18th * May 16th * June 6th * June 20th * August 8th * October 3rd and apart of the 36th Annual All American 400 weekend festivities on October 30th, 31st and November 1st.

The Street Modified divisions last competed a full season during the 2017 racing calendar year.  Kevin Rollins claimed the championship title.

The 2019 partial schedule championship was won by Carl Porter Jr.

Tre’ Ashworth, who has plans to compete this season in the division, says; “Always loved running at the Fairgrounds, not only with the history of the place but it’s definitely a driver track, hopeful to get some success this year.” Ashworth’s quest for success begins on Opening Night, Saturday, April 18th.

Track Enterprises and D&D Events have teamed-up to promote nine high-quality racing programs at NFS that incorporates three national events and six local exclusive shows in 2020. The first national event is the weekend of May 1st, 2nd and 3rd featuring the ARCA Menards East Series, USAC Silver Crown Series, North/South Super Late Model Challenge and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour.
