Austin Brawley Fast Time in Friday Practice
A group of over 20 of the best Pro Late Model cars took to the track today for the practice event preluding the 63rd season opening event on asphalt tomorrow at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Indiana’s Cole Williams topped the chart for two of the four sessions. William Hale took the second practice session with Austin Brawley at the end of the day topping the best mark with a 19.250 second lap around the 5/8th mile high banked oval. Also on the 5/8ths mile, John Burns led the way for the Super Trucks with a 20.343.
Other fast times Friday night from the ¼ mile included Jonathan Dishman in Limited Late Models with a 15.672, Carl Porter, Jr with a 16.132 in Street Stocks, Phillip McCord’s 17.126 in Pure Stocks, Jessie Litchford with a 16.739 in Front Runners, Oliver Cordell posted a 15.868 in Legends, and Oliver Dibble turned in an 18.574 in Bandoleros.
Saturday’s July 4th event to kick off the 2020 season in Music City USA gets started with grandstand gates opening at 3:00pm. Tickets are currently available online at www.nashvillefairgroundsspeedway.racing and tickets will be available at the gate. The construction around the Fairgrounds has changed the landscape somewhat, but the same entrance for the grandstands is available at the rear. Qualifying starts at 3:00pm with pre-race ceremonies at 5:20pm and green flag racing for season number 63 under way at 5:30pm.
