Nashville, TN (Friday, May 28, 2021) – During the regular Friday night Open Practice ahead of Saturday’s race, all scheduled divisions turned laps around the historic Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in an attempt to better prepare for the race. At the end of the day, former Champions and past winners found themselves atop of the overall speed chart.

 

In Pro Late Models, defending track champion Dylan Fetcho sat at the top of the board at the end of the day. His fastest lap came just four rotations into the day with a 19.675. He out-paced Chase Johnson by two-one-hundredths-of-a-second who turned in a 19.695. Fetcho sets third in the 2021 Championship Points Standings heading into tomorrow’s race. The 2020 Champion trails a pair of other former champions, Cole Williams and Michael House. Williams came in third quick at the end of practice while House sat toward the bottom of the charts.

 

Over half a dozen Big Machine Vodka Spike Coolers Super Trucks turned laps Friday afternoon during their practice times. When the final results were tallied, 2019 Track Champion, John Burns had the fastest time at 20.728. His time was faster than last year’s division Champion, Tanner Arms who clocked in a 20.818.

 

On the quarter-mile, Carter Allen found the top of the charts in the Limited Late Model division with a 15.374. Allen’s time was faster than former Track Champion, Kevin Rollins who punched in at 15.417.

 

Elsewhere on the inside track of NFS, Jeremy Odle was the only Pure Stock to officially take time with electronic timing and scoring. Odle clocked in with a 16.889. The visiting Baby Grand Pro National Series also practice Friday, however, no official time was recorded as teams failed to install Transponders. The BH Holmes Construction Legends were led by Boston Oliver with a 15.849. Finally, Aiden Potter led the way in the Dye Hard Hair Salon Bandoleros at 17.194.

 

Teams return to the track Saturday night for an exciting night of racing that is capped off with a Pro Late Model 100 lap feature. Gates open at 3:00 PM with racing at an all new 5:00 PM start time.
