Special from Jordan Reddick – Sellersburg, IN (March 30, 2021) – Jordon Riddick announced that he has partnered with Cole Williams Racing for the 2021 race season. The 15-year-old Sellersburg, Ind., native will move to a full-time Pro Late Model schedule. He will race in the JEGS/CRA All-Star Tour as well as compete for Rookie of the Year honors at Nashville (Tenn.) Fairgrounds Speedway as he competes in the Pro Late Model Division schedule.
Riddick is rapidly making his way up the racing ranks. He made the move to full-bodied cars in 2020 and quickly saw success. While competing with the CRA Junior Late Model Series, he collected two wins in just five races. The young racer made his Pro Late Model debut last December with the SRL Southwest Tour where he finished third in his first start at Kern County Speedway in Bakersfield, Calif.
“I’m very blessed to be able to make this step in my racing career,” Riddick said. “Big thank you to mom, dad, Terry Williams, and Gary Crooks for making this possible. I’m excited to get back racing this season and learn more about pro late model racing.”
Through a partnership with Cole Williams Racing out of Borden, Ind., Riddick will be stepping into winning equipment. Terry Williams will prepare the setup on the No. 15 car throughout the season with Riddick working alongside him each night. The cars that they will be preparing is a PortCity car prepared by owner, Gary Crooks. Brent Downey, out of Indianapolis, Ind., will call the shots for the No. 15 car as the Crew Chief. The partnership will also allow the young driver to work with and have a veteran Pro Late Model teammate in 24-year-old Champion driver, Cole Williams.
“I’m excited to work alongside Cole Williams Racing this season. I feel that I have a lot to learn and having Cole as a teammate is going to be helpful in the transition. I’m also happy that we were able to get Brent [Downey] as my Crew Chief. He is a very talented at calling the shots and will be able to teach me along the way. With the support from PortCity Racecars with our new car, looking forward to working with them and Gary Crooks throughout the season.”
Riddick’s first race of the season will be at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on April 17. At just 15-years-old, he understands the business side of racing and is looking for brands to partner with throughout his 2021 season.
